The museum is divided into six ethnic zones, each of which represents the life of peoples of Western Ukraine as Hutsul, Volyn, Bukovina, and Lemko. More than 120 monuments are collected in this museum. The oldest exhibit is the simple peasant hut, dating back to 1749 year.
A masterpiece of folk architecture is the wooden church, built in 1763. This monument has national importance. The church was built in the village Krivko on Turka district.
Collection of Shevchenko Park represented more than 20 thousand exhibits. The museum has taken a good location in the hills, framed by amazing vegetation of Carpathians, against which more than successfully look old buildings that have been moved to the different regions of Western Ukraine.
All the exhibits are striking not only for its old appearance, but also the interior has been recreated down to the smallest detail, in accordance with the life of our ancestors.
Shevchenko museum takes visitors all year round. This place is like to use for parties, and various festivals. Such events collect most number of visitors.
