This unique museum was created in a Soviet times to preserve the natural world of Ukrainian wasted and ensure its scientific study.

The uniqueness of this reserve due to its geographical position and the floristic uniqueness. Located at the junction of Polesie Carpathians and hem Museum-Reserve is the only place in the world where you can find a natural forest of oak, fir, beech, pine, beech, maple, spruce, maple, elm, linden, which grow together .

However, this museum is not only famous for it's forest reserve. Its fauna is represented by mammals (43 species), birds (169 species), insects (437 species) as well as numerous species of amphibians, spiders, mites, and fish.
