The pretty city Skhidnytsia

Of all the well-known resorts on the territory of Ukraine there is one little-known small town, which can truly be called a treasure of the Carpathian Mountains.

The name of this urban village - Skhidnytsia and, as the locals say, is not an ordinary Carpathian village, but it is something like Ukrainian Switzerland.




The fact that in a resort Skhidnytsia there is water with a medicinal properties, people have known recently, as the town officially became Skhidnytsia spa resort in 1976. There are several current medical sources, among which the soda Borjomi and famous in western Ukraine water Naftusya.

So every season vacationers come here not only from other cities of Ukraine, but also from Russian, Belarusian and others to undergo treatment and to drink the healing waters.

The resort is located close to the cultural capital of Ukrainian – Lviv and another resort town called Truskavets. Also it is very close to the national reserve Skole Beskidy.

In this reserve you can see a very beautiful plants and trees that are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine. And of course, there are animals, wild boars, deer and wolves. If you go to Skhidnytsia from Lviv by car, the road will surprise you a little, because all the time you must drive on the mountain. Bus route almost pass through Truskavets, Borislav.

Immediately after Borislav begins the ascent to the pass, the spectacle fascinating, winding road rotates every 100-200 meters, you climb higher and higher. Along the edges of the road there are small ledges (platform) on which there are deep oil pumps (pumping unit) and they are huge as a cranes, periodically pump oil from the depths of the rock.

There are deep underground oil-bearing layers, which are periodically filled and rush further Borislav and Truskavets. After each bend in the road near the huge trees, that you just passed, the bottom left showing their tops.

The rise ended and you get to the viewing park, usually make a stop here and admire the surrounding nature. Ahead of the descent, winding road leads you to a beautiful, fabulous valley where occasionally you can see dwellings (this variety of hotels and resorts). Even before you reach the car park you will see Skhidnytsia and paths leading into the woods there, deep in the forest, from the land of healing springs flow.
